Eva Heinstein
Eva Heinstein is the Director for the Mandel Cultural Leadership Program. Prior to joining the Mandel Foundation, Eva worked at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership where she managed partnerships with the Center’s board, alumni, and community organizations. She has developed a range of creative initiatives over the course of her career, such as the Entrepreneurial Musicianship Department at New England Conservatory and Piyut North America, a project that aims to revitalize Jewish musical and spiritual traditions from North Africa and the Middle East. She holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, an MA in Ethnomusicology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a BA in Musicology and Hebrew Literature from New York University.
Joshua Lambert
Josh Lambert is the Sophia Moses Robison Associate Professor of Jewish Studies and English, and director of the Jewish Studies Program, at Wellesley College. He’s the author and editor of several books about Jewish culture in the U.S., including The Literary Mafia: Jews, Publishing, and Postwar American Literature (2022). His reviews and essays have appeared recently in the New York Times Book Review, Jewish Currents, and Lilith. From 2012-2020, he served as Academic Director of the Yiddish Book Center, where he created and led a variety of educational programs, including Tent: Creative Writing and other residency programs for artists.
Kendell Pinkney
Kendell Pinkney is a New York based theatre artist, creative producer, and rabbi. As a theatre artist, his collaborative works have been presented at venues such as 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, LABA @ the 14th St. Y, and Two River Theatre, to name a few. As a rabbi, he has been featured in the acclaimed docuseries “The New Jew,” with actor-comedian Guri Alfi, BuzzFeed’s Tasty channel broadcast of “Saturday Night Seder,” and Crooked Media’s religion and society podcast, “Unholier than Thou.” Kendell is the Rabbinical Educator at Reboot in addition to being the founding Artistic Director of The Workshop, a New York based arts and culture fellowship that supports and foregrounds the work of professional artists of BIPOC-Jewish heritage.
Erin Potts
Erin Potts has always worked to create change through culture. In her twenties, Erin co-founded the Milarepa Fund and Tibetan Freedom Concerts with the Beastie Boys. She went on to establish and lead several nonprofits, including Revolutions Per Minute — a nonprofit agency she co-founded with Pearl Jam and R.E.M. that supports over 1,300 musicians and comedians making change. Throughout her twenty-five year career, Erin has been a pioneer in the field of cultural strategies, worked with and organized thousands of artists and creatives of all types to do social justice work, and earned and raised over $20M for important causes. Erin continues this work as a consultant specializing in cultural strategies and research. She has served as a Senior Fellow with the Pop Culture Collaborative, a Program Advisor to the Narrative Initiative and Harmony Labs, and on numerous nonprofit boards.
Shani Rosenbaum
Shani Rosenbaum serves on the faculty of the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College, where she teaches rabbinic and halakhic literature. She holds a BA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and received rabbinic ordination from her teachers at Hebrew College. Shani has taught Talmud, Halakha and Midrash through Hebrew College’s Open Circle, and has previously served on the programming teams of several organizations pursuing justice through a Jewish lens, including Encounter, OLAM, and T’ruah. She lives in Somerville, MA, and has previously made her home in Worcester, Seattle, and Jerusalem.
